Use:
For treating and stabilizing heavy used surfaces after oil application domestic and exotic woods, epoxy resin, leather, metal, plastic, stone… both indoors and outdoors.
Deep penetrating oil is a hard wax oil consisting of pressed organic oils that penetrate deep into the material, as well as wax that closes the pores on the surface and protects against liquids. It increases the saturation and contrast of colors and over time with a slightly dark rustic effect. It is 100% natural. For very stressed surfaces, we recommend using it in combination with The Mayan Oil WAX (wax), which is used as a final layer. We apply in thin layers.
Natural dark wax: Professional surface protection with a rustic finish
The uniqueness of DARK WAX lies in its ability to create a highly durable protective layer with a subtle, dark rustic touch. While oils saturate the structure from within, this concentrated dark wax remains in the surface layers, where it fills micro-cracks and, over time, imparts a warm rustic character to the material. It leaves an unmistakable satin feel to the touch while creating a hydrophobic shield against moisture and contaminants.
On matte substrates, it accentuates their natural beauty, while on polished surfaces, it allows for an extremely high degree of gloss. It is an indispensable final step for professionals seeking maximum durability, as well as for home users who want to treat their favorite interior and exterior items to premium care, a velvety touch, and an air of elegance.
THE MAYAN OIL – DARK WAX is engineered for superior protection and a smoky effect:
All Wood Species: Ideal for subtly darkening light wood species and reviving dark solid wood, emphasizing its natural grain.
Metals: Creates a continuous film that prevents oxidation and provides metal elements with a deeper, patinated appearance.
Stone and Concrete: Seals pores, prevents dirt absorption, and brings out rich, darker tones in the material.
Leather and Plastics: Deeply nourishes the surface, darkens worn areas, and restores lost suppleness.
Epoxy Resin: Serves as an effective protective layer that adds dramatic contrast and depth to compositions featuring wood.
Wax application
Apply a small amount in a thin layer using a sponge or abrasive fleece onto the prepared surface and massage it into the wood (preferably with circular motions). Before wiping/polishing with a cotton cloth (or microfiber cloths, starting from grit P800), wait at least 40 minutes. Allow 2 days before use, and 5–7 days without contact with water. For maximum protection, we recommend the HWA nano-ceramic layer. After applying the nano-ceramic coating, the surface can be used after 2 days, but must remain without contact with water for at least 3–4 days.
Effect: Stabilization and protection with a dark rustic finish.
Scent: Vanilla.
Volume: 266 ml.
Theoretical Coverage: 30–90 m² per bottle, depending on the material type and, for wood, the sanding grit.
Important Note: The Mayan Oil DARK WAX is not intended as a single-step protection! Apply only to surfaces previously treated with oil.
